Historic homes on Market Street
Colonial Revivals, historic and ranch-style homes are packed neatly on narrow lots along the residential streets surrounding Courthouse Square. On Market Street, American flags decorate the full-width front porches of Historic American Foursquares and Craftsmen homes. These houses were built at the turn of the 20th century and usually list between $100,000 and $200,000. Similarly priced ranch-style homes were built during the 1970s and feature paved driveways with attached 1-car garages. Newer ranch-style homes built in the early 2000s are settled on half-acre pine-shaded lots in Mercer’s more rural areas. These wonderfully secluded homes generally cost around $300,000. More single-family homes with waterfront views and wooden boat docks sit on one-acre properties around Lake Latonka and can cost upwards of $700,000.
