One-of-a-kind homes and custom estates with acreage
Milton Hill's single-family homes are diverse, typically dating from the 18th century through the mid-20th century. "Most of the homes were built in the turn of the century on decently sized yards, 10,000 square feet — minimum," Freeman says. "You have a mixture of styles: Georgian mansions, midcentury modern, Greek Revivals, colonials and farmhouses." Larger estates are secluded atop long driveways on acre-sized lots landscaped with lush trees and gardens, while mid-sized Cape Cods and ranch-style homes are often set close together along sidewalk-lined streets in small subdivisions. Mid-sized homes range from about $600,000 to $1 million, while larger homes go for $1 million to $3 million. There are also a handful of newer custom homes with features like private pools, theater rooms and multi-car garages. "The new construction ranges in price from $4 million to $5 million," Freeman says.
