Avenues West, a college community
Avenues West provides walkable access to grocery shopping, dining and parks. Many houses are occupied by college students who attend Marquette University, a private Jesuit school with 11,200 students on the southeast corner of the community. “People come here for its turn-of-the-century architecture and affordability," says Realtor Michael Argeropoulos, who sells homes in the area with eXp Realty, LLC – Metro Milwaukee. Residents also enjoy Milwaukee’s professional sporting events, like Brewers and Bucks games. Homebuyers might work at the Molson Coors Brewing Company or the Harley Davidson Motor Company factory. When residents get off work, the properties provide ample space for leisure. “Many houses have large enough backyards to set up patios and barbecues," Argeropoulos says.
