Conveniently located near the airport
Goldman Park is a primarily residential neighborhood home to about 1,700 Milwaukeeans. Situated 10 miles from downtown Milwaukee, this neighborhood provides residents convenient access to major hubs of transportation like the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport and Route 94. Locals know they have arrived in Goldman Park when they see a certain house on Ramsey Avenue whose lawn is decked out with zany, vibrantly colored animal sculptures. An unusually large pink elephant, standing at twice the height of the average man, guards the proverbial gates of Goldman Park. The lawn seems to be home to a cacophony of different decorations beyond merely animals, including whatever the homeowner wants to display on that particular day. In addition to this fantastic front lawn, Goldman Park is home to a 50-table pool hall and a public elementary school with an Italian immersion program. Ranch homes are the most common style in Goldman, with some featuring brick façades while others are adorned with rubble masonry or other materials.
Ranch houses and new-traditional abodes
The wide streets of Goldman Park are lined with classic single-story Ranch houses. Most homes come equipped with a driveway and a garage, while many streets lack any sidewalk. Properties feature sprawling front and back yards that have ample space to fit a pool or trampoline. Two-story residences have become more common over the years. Modern Craftsman homes, with some Tudor homes and split-level houses are scattered around the neighborhood, along with a few constructions from the last decade or two. Houses range in price from $200,000 to $350,000, with a median price of $280,000. A recently sole single story Ranch house with a detached garage closed for $269,000 and is representative of area averages.

Schools that preserve the Italian roots of Milwaukee
Italian culture has been prominent in Milwaukee since an influx of Sicilian immigrants arrived in the late 19th century. Today, Victory K-8 & Milwaukee Italian Immersion School keeps the city’s green, white and red spirit alive. “We run two programs within the building: a traditional monolingual program, and the other side of the building is the Italian Immersion program for K4 through fifth grade,” says Stephen Davis of Milwaukee Public Schools. Students in the dual-language program can connect with local partner organizations like the Italian Community Center and several Italian restaurants to dig deep into the country’s colorful history and culture. Meanwhile, all students regardless of curriculum can participate in extracurricular activities like basketball, student council or the yearbook club. Victory Elementary School is conveniently located within the neighborhood and earns a C-minus on Niche. Casimir Pulaski High School is less than 5 miles north of Goldman Park and picks up a C from Niche.
