A river runs through it

Named for the scenic Mississippi River tributary that winds through the neighborhood and splits it in two, Shingle Creek is a vibrant and dynamic urban pocket tucked away in the northwest corner of Minneapolis, 7 miles from downtown. Once considered an area that was far from civilization, Shingle Creek today is a desirable, quiet neighborhood, seemingly detached from the hustle and bustle of the big city, while still offering easy highway access and proximity to amenities, both natural and manmade.
