Homes are entirely on the neighborhood’s west side, separated from Minnetonka Senior High School by a central blanket of undeveloped woods. Modern townhouses are the majority, running between the mid-$600,000s and the high $700,000s. Midcentury-inspired split-levels and ranch-style houses are also available, priced between the high $300,000s and mid-$600,000s, depending on lot size and amenities. “It’s one of the newer areas in Minnetonka,” says Cassie Frick, a Realtor with Edina Realty who’s served the area since 2002. “Homes are typically built in the 1980s and ‘90s, so they’ll have more modern amenities than the midcentury houses further east.” Home values average in the low $600,000s, well beneath nearby areas like Shorewood and Sparrow.

Students will begin at Clear Springs Elementary School before enrolling at Minnetonka East Middle School. Niche gave both of these schools an A grade. Older students will attend Minnetonka Senior High School, ranked A-plus. Conveniently located within the neighborhood, Niche counts Minnetonka Senior High as one of Minnesota’s top five public high schools.

Established in 1965, this local chain specializes in “Sota-style” pizza, which includes a square-cut thin crust, hearty sauce and lots of toppings. In Glen Lake, Heather’s offers a relaxed fine-dining experience any time of the day, including dishes like cacio e pepe spinach toast, blackened salmon BLT and their curry turkey burger. Several shopping centers follow Highway 7, including big-box stores like Target and grocery stores like Cub.

Lake Minnetonka is the largest lake in the Twin Cities area
Located on Minnetonka Senior High School’s campus, the Pagel Activity Center includes a year-round regulation-size hockey rink with a weight room and public locker rooms. Purgatory Community Preserve is 1 mile southeast on its namesake creek. With over 150 acres of land, the preserve features miles of trails that offer views of the region’s wetlands and forests. Lake Minnetonka is less than 2 miles northwest. At almost 15,000 acres, it’s the largest body of water in the Twin Cities metro area and a popular spot for boating, fishing and relaxation.
