Victoriano
Spanish Revival and Mediterranean-inspired contemporary homes
Victoriano offers a laidback atmosphere, where cul-de-sacs are lined with wide sidewalks and garage doors roll open as people leave early to commute to work. Homes in the area are relatively contemporary, usually built between 2000 and 2010, and architecture is inspired mainly by Spanish Revival and Mediterranean styles. Red-tiled roofs, stucco exteriors and arched entryways are common sights around the neighborhood. "The prices are honestly so reasonable for the region," Kong says. "Compared to what I see in areas like Palm Springs, you can knock off several thousand and still get a gorgeous house." Condos and townhomes typically sell for $350,000 to $400,000, while single-family homes sell between $500,000 and $650,000.Top marks from elementary to high school levels
Victoriano falls under the Val Verde Unified School District, and kids can attend Victoriano Elementary School before Vista Verde Middle School, both of which score a B on Niche. The A-minus-rated Rancho Verde High School has a highly rated curriculum and is also well-known for its diverse and extensive list of extracurriculars. Moreno Valley College, a public community college, also borders the neighborhood.Neighborhood green spaces and waterside recreation at Lake Perris State Recreation Area
Victoriano has several green spaces, from Pedrorena Park's playground and tennis courts to Vista Lomas Park's basketball courts and multipurpose fields. Just 4 miles south of the neighborhood is the expansive Lake Perris State Recreation Area, which covers over 8,800 acres of water and rolling hills. Locals boat, fish and simply lounge at one of the many beach areas surrounding the Perris Reservoir, and there are miles of combined hiking and biking trails.Convenient errand stops in the neighborhood and nearby Moreno Valley Mall
At the center of the neighborhood off Iris Avenue is a small commercial area with convenient errand stops, such as Stater Bros. Markets and CVS, alongside a handful of chain and fast-casual restaurants. Red Maple Pizza is one of few local eateries that has made its way into the fray, a favorite with locals for its quality pies and laidback counter-serve style. Many will drive the 7 miles to Moreno Valley's northside, which has a considerable retail and dining district. Anchored by the Moreno Valley Mall, the surrounding plazas are filled with big-name stores like Target, Walmart and Costco.Transportation down Iris Avenue and flying out of Ontario International Airport
The neighborhood is intersected by two city thoroughfares, Lasselle Street and Iris Avenue, which connects to Interstate 215. Both roads are lined with bus stops, with city buses operated by Riverside Transit Agency. The Ontario International Airport offers several commercial airlines and is located 29 miles northwest of Victoriano. The community is bordered by the Kaiser Permanente Moreno Valley Medical Center and is only 2 miles from the Riverside University Health System, which offers a wide range of specialty care.
