Suburban New Jersey borough with amenities galore and easy access to the big city
About 30 miles west of New York sits New Providence, a suburban, New Jersey borough that offers so much. Besides the top-rated school system, residents gravitate to this small town because of its wide range of housing prices. Homebuyers can nab a home at a lower price here than in the neighboring communities of Summit and Chatham. Despite the lower prices, residents of New Providence still have access to an easy commute. They can have a hassle-free commute thanks to two local train stations. “Most people who move here love the community feel,” Meg Mullin, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty, says. “New Providence has a lot of town pride. People are very friendly, community-minded and want to help each other out. It’s also one of those towns that offers something for everyone. It’s very desirable.”
