North Edwards is a remote oasis in the Mojave Desert
North Edwards offers a remote Mojave Desert landscape with spacious lots. Adorned by Spanish Revival architecture, this community is convenient to employment centers, such as the U.S. Borax mines and Edwards Air Force Base. Although its atmosphere revolves around establishments like the Sunshine Market, one of the only convenience stores for miles. As real estate in the Antelope Valley expands, North Edwards is a vast Western oasis for quiet living outside the surrounding metros. "There is affordable housing, and there are places to work and make a nice living," says Joy Colovin, an area local and Realtor at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. "Those who like the rural life will like North Edwards. People come here for peace, serenity and wide-open spaces."

Stucco houses are on sandy half-acre lots, sometimes with planted grass, bushes and young trees. This area primarily features single-level Spanish Revival and ranch-style homes built around the 1960s. Housing prices range from $100,000 to $500,000. Manufactured homes are also available, going for $50,000 to $300,000. Prices in North Edwards are significantly lower than in most regions of California.
