The park is overflowing with fragrant coastal sage scrub, chaparral, oak woodlands and wildflower meadows. The Cave of Munits holds a lot of cultural significance for the native Chumash people of the area. Today, experienced hikers and rock climbers flock to the cave to explore its 1.9-mile looping trail, considered highly challenging.
Retail and restaurant options are found at Oak Park Plaza, on the neighborhood’s northwestern edge. Dining options include Cafe Sapientia, where you can grab an assortment of sandwiches, bagels, pastries, coffee, specialty tea and Korean shaved ice. Meanwhile, Charcoal Niku is a popular dinner spot that serves steaks, sushi and more. When residents need to grab groceries, they head to Pavilions Grocery Store right across the street.
