The neighborhood even has a block party night alongside National Night Out, a citywide block party night hosted by the city in early August. “Oakland has a block party night; Allendale has one of its own.” This sense of community starts throughout Oakland and lives along the streets of Allendale.

There are a couple of outdoor spaces tucked between Allendale’s streets.
