A hilltop neighborhood with commanding views of the bay
Overlooking the rest of Oakland, Crestmont is elevated both in topography and in popularity. This neighborhood, first developed in the 1950s, has not stopped growing, as persistent demand has translated into continued homebuilding. Rows of hilltop residential lanes offer captivating views of the city and the rest of the Bay Area, that draws locals and outsiders alike. “There are a lot of walkers, so you’ll see some of the same folks evening after evening,” says Homeowners of Crestmont Association Secretary Greg Klein. “People from outside the neighborhood love to come up and check out the views, too. It’s thrilling.”
