Secluded in western Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands, Ogle Township's sweeping scenery is one of its most appealing aspects. Homebuyers are drawn to picturesque landscapes and nature-filled surroundings, where properties sit amid dense thickets of trees along rural roadways. “Ogle Township is truly a hidden gem,” says Helen Dugan, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Prestige Realty. “Its privacy, affordability and breathtaking natural surroundings make it an ideal destination for those looking to disconnect from the busier pace of urban life.” Dugan says buyers can range from outdoor enthusiasts to retirees or second-home seekers. With less than 500 residents across more than 30 square miles, the solitude of Ogle Township offers a quiet retreat in the Pennsylvania countryside. “Buyers are typically looking for acreage, space to garden or hunt and the tranquility of being off the beaten path,” says Dugan, who has served the Somerset and Cambria counties for over 24 years.

Secluded, ranch-style homes in western Pennsylvania
Most homes in Ogle Township are concentrated on the east side of the community and the Gallitzin State Forest. Properties are often set back from the rural roads, with trees offering privacy and seclusion. “The housing stock includes mostly single-family homes, cabins and the occasional older farmhouse,” Dugan says. “Ranch-style and split-level homes are common, often situated on larger wooded lots.” Prices for single-family homes typically fall between $100,000 and $200,000, while properties on larger acreage can exceed $400,000. Manufactured homes in the township often sell for around $200,000.
