Mission Park defines well established in West Omaha
Mission Park is a West Omaha neighborhood designed with custom suburban homes, Millard District schools and well-appointed city parks inside its 3-square-mile community. Adding to its conveniences is its immediate access to shopping, dining and professional services along Q Street and Harrison Street, between South 180th Street and South 168th Street. “One of Mission Park’s best assets,” says Melody Wentz, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services/ Ambassador Real Estate, “is that it’s either walking distance or a short drive to all the local Millard schools. And St Stephen School is right across the street. Once you get home, you don’t have to leave the neighborhood with shopping around the corner, the YMCA nearby and two parks down the street.”
Homes from the 1990s to the 2020s are well-maintained, most with 4- to 6-bedrooms, on landscaped roomy lots. “Buyers get a big bang for their buck here,” says Wentz. “Millard schools are certainly the most important attraction. But beyond that, new construction costs a lot. In Mission Park, buyers get a solidly-built, stylish home plus mature landscaping, which can be a major cost savings.”

It’s popular with runners, walkers and cyclists for its paved trails that wind through shade-covered areas. Mission Park West’s pocket playground, near Van Buren Drive and South 175th Street, received significant updates in 2023, including multiple climbing areas, new swings and slides.
