Social justice magnet themes at local public schools

Springville Elementary serves children from kindergarten through fifth grade and has a C-plus rating from Niche. Nathan Hale Magnet offers sixth through eighth grade and has a highly diverse student population. To honor the school’s namesake, the chosen magnet theme is Leadership and Social Justice. Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles in school and in the larger community fulfilling the belief that young people can shape the future of our nation in positive ways. Niche gives Omaha Northwest Magnet High an overall C grade. Its popular Freshman Academy helps students plan for success throughout high school. It also offers more than 40 honors programs. Marian Catholic High School is an all-girls college preparatory school that has an A rating from Niche. It has been highly regarded in the area since its founding in 1955.

There are about 10 Omaha parks surrounding Wynnewood/Brookfield and none are more than a five-minute drive from home. Nearby Saddle Hills Park features three and a half acres with a playground, basketball and tennis courts, a picnic area and plenty of open space for chasing the kids or walking the dog.
