Cozy Craftsman bungalows and mid-century ranch homes
Spanish moss dangles from oak trees looming over brick streets lined with historic homes. "I love this area; you've got lots of those old '50s homes along curving brick and asphalt streets," says David Dorman, a local Realtor at Century 21 Professionals with over 25 years of experience. "It's a really quaint area, lots of trees around and you're close to the 408." Most of the neighborhood's homes were built in the 1920s and 1940s through the 1950s. Homebuyers have a range of cozy bungalows and Craftsman-style houses to choose from. Mid-century ranch-style houses are also common, featuring open floor plans and large windows to maximize natural light. Quality schools and proximity to downtown have brought some newer developments to the area. Large yards and in-ground pools are common household amenities, along with proximity to parks and freeways. Prices typically range from $500,000 for an average-sized ranch-style house to $1.1 million for a large Craftsman house on a half-acre lot.
