Adobe Meadow-Meadow Park is a midcentury neighborhood with great schools
With highly rated schools, midcentury-era homes and a short drive to some of Silicon Valley’s largest tech companies, it’s no surprise that Adobe Meadow-Meadow Park has some of the priciest real estate in south Palo Alto. Residents are about 4 miles from Stanford University and the city’s chic downtown district, putting it close to the action but far enough to feel quiet and suburban. “You’ve got great schools and some nice parks, and you can walk to them from the neighborhood,” says broker Julie Tsai Law of Compass Real Estate, who has worked in Silicon Valley real estate since 2002.
The green canopy and organized layout make Adobe Meadow-Meadow Park ideal for walkable living.

Modest, midcentury homes on tree-lined streets
Homes in the neighborhood were largely built out during the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, after its large rural properties were split up in favor of small, suburban lots. Midcentury modern homes and ranch styles are the most common home designs, and many have been fully renovated and upgraded to bring them into the 21st century, although some are being torn down entirely and replaced with brand-new luxury homes. Prices range from around $3 million to $5.5 million, with new homes typically selling for top dollar. Those looking for something more affordable might consider a townhome, which sell for around $1.7 million to $2 million. “Palo Alto has some of the highest prices per square foot in the Bay Area. Even higher than Atherton. And that’s really driven by the schools and because of its central location,” says Realtor Xin Jiang of Compass Real Estate, who has been working in Palo Alto for about a decade.

At 21 acres, it has a dog park, ballfields, soccer fields, tennis courts, a playground and splash pads.
