The Pinery
Suburban Neighborhood in Parker, Colorado
Douglas County 80134

Custom-built single-family homes and estates
The Pinery is filled with unique housing options, where no two properties are alike. Most homes are found along winding roads, sitting on large, landscaped lots that are speckled with mature trees. The neighborhood is sectioned off into multiple communities. Closer to South Parker Road, within High Prairie Farms, homes are smaller and were built in the 1970s to 2000s. Contemporary multi-story homes with simple exterior designs are common, and there are a handful of ranch-style homes with cabin aesthetics. These properties span 2,100 to 4,600 square feet and cost $575,000 to $1 million. The community surrounding The Pinery Country Club has notably larger properties that are more spread out. These resort-style luxury homes were built in the 2000s and 2020s and share Craftsman features such as multiple front gables, pointed roofs and stone accent walls. Prices fall between $990,000 and $1.6 million for homes that span 4,600 to 6,000 square feet.As The Pinery expands outward, away from the residential communities, property sizes grow. “There’s a huge difference if you want to live north of Pinery Parkway or south. The price nearly doubles,” Booghier says. Modern estates within the Timbers community can get up to 8,000 square feet. These homes come in a variety of housing styles, from luxury resort to Craftsman and Tucson-inspired. Regal gardens with trimmed shrubs and pebbled walkways add a sense of grandeur. Prices for these estates sit between $1.3 million and $2.8 million, depending on size and location. The CAP Index crime score for The Pinery is 1 out of 10, which is much lower than the national average of 4.
Private and public recreational facilities
The Pinery’s landscape of rolling hills, flowing creeks and pine and ponderosa trees help foster a serene neighborhood surrounded by the outdoors. The Pinery Country Club is the area’s main draw, with an exclusive clubhouse and amenities such as three nine-hole golf courses, three swimming pools, tennis courts and a practice facility. Though private, homeowners of The Pinery are not required to join the country club, nor do members have to live nearby. Bingham Lake is tucked between the greenways for catch-and-release fishing. Roughly 3 miles west, The Club at Pradera is the sister golf course to The Pinery and offers a Junior Golf Academy. “Oddly enough, there are a lot of country clubs and golfing in the area, but there are a lot of variances to each one,” Booghier says. Farther South into the Timbers community, the Colorado Horse Park provides professional training and hosts equestrian shows and competitions. In addition to its country clubs, the neighborhood has a handful of public community parks. Pinery Park has a large open field, plus two playgrounds, a basketball court and a baseball diamond. Farther south, Bayou Gulch Regional Park sits along its namesake water stream. It has a full-size synthetic turf field for football and lacrosse, plus a playscape with a kid-sized climbing wall. The recreational area surrounding Bayou Gulch has walking trails and a BMX pump track that winds past the Bayou Gulch Dog Park. Other pocket parks are attached to communities throughout the neighborhood, including Alden Park, Nuthatch and Lakeshore Park.
