They're planning on building a Sprouts Farmers Market, and that'll change the area up, but until then, you have to drive about 10 to 15 minutes out of the area to get to the nearest grocery store," Fleming says. California Delta Highway – locally known as Highway 4 – extends across the north side of San Marco and is a busy commuter road. The city of Concord is less than 7 miles away, and Oakland and San Ramon are each 27 miles out. San Francisco is roughly a 38-mile drive, but with traffic, the trip can take upwards of an hour. Residents can use the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Station just across from the Oak Hills Shopping Center or the BART station in downtown Pittsburg. Oakland International Airport is 36 miles away when using California State Route 24 E.
