At the water's edge

Riverbend sits right at the edge, offering entry into northern Idaho and the city of Post Falls. The neighborhood shares about half industrial and commercial space while the other half is residential. Its well-kept homes give it personality while the Spokane River slices a mighty trail between Washington and Idaho.

Maintained homes and Rocky Mountain views

Riverbend houses are arranged in compact rows behind maintained lawns and narrow sidewalks. From many parts of the neighborhood, the peaks of the Rocky Mountains can be glimpsed in the distance. Contemporary homes are prevalent, along with some ranch-styles and the occasional midcentury build. Prices range between $385,000 to $870,000. Properties tend to stay on the market for about 30 days before selling.

The Big Apple in the Potato State, tea parties and treasure hunting

New York Pizza Dept. serves generously sized pizzas to bring a taste of the Big Apple to northern Idaho. La Tea Da Tea Room hosts events with elegant teatime experiences. Walmart Supercenter provides groceries and several local businesses are available for specialized shopping. Since 1975, Oriental Gifts and Food has been a one-stop shop for Asian goods in Post Falls. Cabela’s stocks outdoor gear for nearly every outdoor activity popular in northern Idaho, from hunting and shooting to fishing and boating. TPI Embroidery makes custom apparel like t-shirts, hats and sportswear while Discount Days Bargain Store offers returned and overstock items from various stores. Treasure Towne rotates a collection of antiques, collectibles and flea market finds. Store owner and Post Falls resident Gloria Nichols says, "We're a women-owned vendor mall, and we have a little bit of something for everybody. Every spot and booth in the store is rented out to a different vendor." Nichols also talks about the store's convenient location. "Because we are right off the highway by Exit 2, we get a lot of travelers and truck drivers. I like that we're in a little pocket away from the downtown businesses. This area needs more to draw people in, but I think there some good things coming to Post Falls in the future."
