Country feel with city access and award-winning education
The quiet community of Remlap offers rural reprieve outside of Birmingham. The town is close to larger towns and cities, so residents can commute or access amenities without feeling too secluded. Remlap is on a major Alabama state road that leads directly to downtown Birmingham and the Interstates that cluster around and branch out to other cities. "It's considered a very safe area, and there are a lot of commuters who get to leave behind the busy city life," says Realtor Ginger Fountain with Re/Max Realty. "It's also known for having a good school system, and that draws a lot of families. The school Fountain mentions is the Southeastern School, an award-winning pre-K to 12th-grade institution that serves Remlap students and earns good marks from Niche.

New Traditional houses are often the largest, with houses often between 2,000 and 3,000 square feet.
