The community began to develop in 2007, featuring New Traditional and Spanish Revival homes and quiet streets lined with sidewalks. Most homes were built in the 2010s with terra-cotta tiled roofs, stone facades and stucco exteriors. Single-family ranch-style and New Traditional properties usually sell between $600,000 and $850,000 with monthly HOA fees. Most students in the area attend San Bernardino City’s school system, and prospective schools include Paakuma' K-8 School and Cajon High School, each of which has a B and an A-minus grade from Niche. Cajon High offers award-winning sports programs, as well as special academy programs for theatre, film theory, automotive, business management and sports medicine. The community has many interest groups and activity clubs for residents to stay active in their pastimes, and social events such as “casino night” themed association parties let residents make friends with their neighbors. “We have a bagel bash every month where we prepare bagels, coffee and fruits in the morning for residents,” Munoz says. “In the summer, we have movie screenings at the park, throw parties by the pool while giving out ice cream. We do a tree lighting for our winter event, and there’s a vendor fair for residents to shop and a crafts station for the kids. We also have a virtual paint night; an instructor will give the lesson through Zoom, and we give paint kits to residents so they can stay at home and paint with their family.”Distance to San Bernardino and Ontario
The community is bordered by Interstate 15 on the west side, and Interstate 215 is north of the area. Residents can take I-215 to access San Bernardino, which is about 15 miles southeast. The San Bernardino Metrolink train station is in downtown, and from there, commuters can take the train to Los Angeles Union Station. About 5 miles south in Fontana, Sierra Shopping Center has many popular restaurants, including Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar, Tio's Grille & Cantina and Sierra Noodle House, an authentic pho spot. Walmart is about 10 miles away along Hallmark Parkway, with multiple Ralphs and Stater Bros also within 10 miles of the community. Victoria Gardens, an outdoor mall with department stores, an AMC movie theater and over 150 retailers, and Ontario Mills, which is an indoor outlet center that has about 200 stores, are both approximately 10 miles south of the community.
