An in-demand residential community near CityLine and home to Lookout Park
Owens Park resulted from Richardson's residential boom in the 1970s, built to accommodate the city's nearly tripled population after 1960. As housing developments began to scatter the city, significant commercial development followed in the '90s and early 21st century. And Owens Park is at the heart of this development. Commercial areas like CityLine are minutes from Owens Park, offering residents proximity to chic restaurants, live music events and bi-weekly markets. More personal to Owens Park is Lookout Park, the neighborhood's beating heart, which often hosts soccer games and small community gatherings. "Owens Park is a pretty and very appealing neighborhood," says Realtor Tricia Nixon of Huggins Realty. Nixon has sold homes across the region for nearly five years. "It's a well-established, peaceful community with mature trees and well-kept homes."
