Richfield has a wealth of home styles

Richfield features a variety of homes, including ranch styles and cottage designs, split-levels, New Traditional architecture and Tudor Revivals. European-inspired and Modernist mansions are also present.

“Richfield is considered upscale generally, the homes are on larger than average lots, it's not country, but it’s not like a regular suburb either,” says Charles Burmeister, an associate broker and team leader with Keller Williams Chervenic Realty, who has over 40 years of experience. There are some areas of it that are very affluent, and there are some areas that are standard, like a regular suburb.”

While some homes are as low as $150,000, prices generally range between $200,000 $800,000, depending on the size, location and condition. However, multiple properties are well over $1 million. “It has more of a country feel, and there is not that concentration of newer developments like there are in Brecksville and Hudson,” says Burmeister. “Part of the reason they get the kind of prices is because of the larger woodsier lots and the being not in the suburbs but still being close enough to Akron and the conveniences.”

Burmeister says HOAs are present but are “very few.” Homes are typically situated on winding streets or cul-de-sacs, with large lots and oak and pine trees accenting lawns. Some newer subdivisions feature more compact housing and reduced tree cover. Sidewalks are more common in newer communities as well.
