Midcentury homes sit alongside new builds
Swanson has four primary home styles: 20th century ranches, split-levels and Cape Cods, and colonial-inspired contemporary builds. Most homes sit on modest lots, though homebuyers can find larger ones on Hodges Road. Older homes with two- to four-bedrooms range from $190,000 to $270,000, while three- to five-bedroom new builds range from $300,000 to $400,000. According to Katrina Young, an associate broker with US Realty On, the inventory in the neighborhood is "medium" but moving at a steady pace. "You know, COVID made it crazy, and houses were going in 24 hours," she says. "Now that the market has slowed down, it's still a steady move, so I would say the most… 35 to 45 days is the longest I've seen homes on the market before sold."
