Whitney Oaks is a master-planned community with gated subdivisions overseen and maintained by The Whitney Oaks Community Association (WOCA). Whitney Oaks’ schools are under the Rocklin Unified School District. Conway shares, “All three of my kids attended Rocklin schools, kindergarten through high school. We moved to Rocklin specifically so our kids could attend the schools.” Valley View Elementary School is known for its unique Art Docent program, which provides students with art history lessons and challenges them to apply historical techniques to their work. Granite Oaks Middle School offers the prestigious C-STEM program, a computing module in collaboration with UC Davis, which is also recognized by the University of California admissions department. Rocklin High School's Career Technical Education (CTE) program allows students to prepare for various professions, such as video production, engineering and business. All three schools earned an A score on Niche.

Conway says, “The turkeys will actually fly up into the oak trees at night to sleep, so people who live on the hillside have to deal with turkey noise. People don’t mind it too much, though, because it’s just part of living here!”
