Morgan Creek Village
Basketball and picnics at Dry Creek Community Park
Dry Creek Community Park is where kids can swirl down the playground slide. It also has basketball and tennis courts. A baseball, softball and soccer field are reserved for league play here, but open to the public on Sundays. Morgan Creek Golf Club is interwoven throughout the community. Many of the housing developments here are built around the scenic course, giving residents easy access to play. While membership comes with the HOA the course is open to the public, and fees vary by season and time.Tex-Mex fare, farmers market produce and a nearby mall
The only restaurant inside the neighborhood is part of the Morgan Creek Golf Course, but Morgan Creek Village borders plenty of eateries and shops in nearby Roseville. A few miles east, Taqueria Los Altos offers Tex-Mex Fare across from Denio’s Farmers Market. Local vendors have been selling their produce here every weekend since 1947, rain or shine. Located in the Melody Lane Shopping Center, Susie’s Country Oaks Cafe serves home-style meals for breakfast and lunch, including country fried steak, pancakes and hamburgers. For upscale dining, Sandoval recommends Zócalo Roseville about 6 miles east. “It has wonderful Mexican food and a great ambiance. It’s my personal favorite.” Grocery stores, like Bel Air and Raley’s are relatively close, while shoppers can head to Roseville’s Westfield Galleria for retailers and department stores.Craftsman-style and custom-built homes on large lots
New traditional Craftsman-style homes and custom-built estates are found in gated subdivisions. Built during the early 2000s, these three-to-six-bedroom homes sit on up to half-acre lots, featuring Mediterranean- and Spanish Revival-style elements like tile roofs, stucco exteriors and arched entryways. Some have stone wall inlays and multi-car garages, along with swimming pools and well-manicured front yards. Prices range from around $720,000 to $1.9 million, with monthly homeowners association fees up to $452, which permits access to the golf course, clubhouses and lake. Sandoval says that the HOA doesn’t allow street parking or long-term RV parking. Land along Vineyard Road, the neighborhood’s northern border, is being zoned for new subdivisions.Nearby interstates and bus stops outside of the neighborhood
Interstate 80 sits about 5 miles east, leading roughly 20 miles southwest to downtown Sacramento, while Interstate 5 (also known as the West Side Freeway) is found roughly 17 miles southwest. “Many take back roads for their commutes,” says Christine Fore-Pemstein, an associate broker with Realty One who served as a sales and marketing director for numerous developments in the neighborhood. “A lot of residents use Baseline Road and the Golden State Highway to get to Interstate 5 and bypass Interstate 80.” While there is no public transportation here, Roseville Transit buses make stops northeast of the neighborhood, and Roseville has an Amtrak station that travels to the San Francisco Bay Area. Bike trails run adjacent to Dry Creek and north toward the neighborhood’s border. Roseville Medical Center is about 7 miles east, while Sacramento International Airport is a 20-mile drive southwest.Health Careers Academy at Oakmont High School
Kids can attend D Creekview Ranch, which earns an A-minus from Niche. The school serves kindergarten through 8th grade and offers art, cooking and eSports clubs. At A-minus-rated Oakmont High students can join the Health Careers Academy. Courses include advanced medical sciences, medical trends and a work-based internship.
