Bellview is a neighborhood of convenience just five miles outside of downtown Sacramento. “People love the proximity to the freeway, which makes it easy to get downtown for work,” says Abril Manzo of Realty One Group, who has over 15 years of real estate experience in the area. “It’s more affordable than some surrounding areas, but there is still a lot going on with the shopping and eating on Marconi Avenue.” In addition to dining in the area, neighborhood residents can conveniently walk to parks and schools.
Howe Community Park for fun
Bellview Park is the centerpiece of the neighborhood, located just off Howe Avenue. The Park has playgrounds for children and basketball hoops. Howe Community Park features four lighted softball diamonds and a lighted sand volleyball court. In addition, anglers can fish in the stocked pond, while others take them to the tennis courts or soccer fields. Dogs can either get exercise on a walk around the one-mile paved trail or enjoy running in the off-leash area. Bellview residents can hit Donut Star for an apple fritter and a cup of Joe to jumpstart the day. La Rosa Blanca is a quirky spot serving up Mexican favorites. St. Philomene School and Aspire Alexander Twilight College Preparatory Academy are private options just south of the neighborhood.
