Elmhurst is home to the Julia Morgan House, a Mediterranean Revival mansion used for events. Julia Morgan, a well-known architect in California, designed the house. She created more than 700 buildings in the state during her lengthy career in the early 19th century. The mansion features a grand staircase with a teakwood banister leading to a full-story window and seating at the mid-landing.
