Saint Martin has varied home styles and coastal amenities
The community of Saint Martin offers variety on the Gulf Coast. "It's a small area, but it's right between D'Iberville, Ocean Springs and Biloxi," says Realtor Melinda Calhoun with Coastal Realty Group. Its placement offers access to many areas around Biloxi Bay for shopping and dining. "It's very accommodating since it's near the Interstate. You're close to restaurants, casinos, beaches and Keesler Air Force Base," Calhoun says. There's also variety in the housing styles, from budget-friendly ranch-styles to million-dollar homes overlooking the water. Saint Martin has well-rated schools and is near several parks and beaches.
Prices vary widely, from under $200K to over $1 million
Saint Martin is a classic suburban area consisting of many mid-to-late 20th-century homes. Ranch-style and split-level homes are on modest lots, lined with oak magnolia and beech trees. They're typically priced between $190,000 and $275,000. Subdivisions of New Traditional and contemporary homes wind around Saint Martin's mid-section, priced between $280,000 and $650,000. There are also million-dollar homes on larger lots, surrounded by grassy marshes scattered with pine and palmettos. These lifted New Traditional, contemporary and bungalow-style houses may have private docks and boathouses. These homes also offer scenic views of Back Biloxi Bay and its tranquil bayous. According to FEMA's National Risk Index, Saint Martin has a relatively high chance of hurricane damage and flooding, especially homes south of Lemoyne Boulevard. Residents should purchase appropriate homeowner's insurance and follow evacuation guidelines in an emergency.

The water is where Saint Martin residents gather for some of the area's biggest celebrations, like Fourth of July fireworks, and the annual Christmas on the Water Boat Parade. This yearly tradition showcases colorful light displays on boats that march across the river, and a fireworks display to conclude the show.
