An arrow’s path to downtown
Arrowview rests in the curve between California’s Foothill Freeway and State Route 259, a few blocks north of downtown San Bernardino. Though it’s close to the action, this is a residential neighborhood characterized by a grid of tree-lined streets. “It’s in a good location,” says Jeff Teel, Realtor with Progressive Properties. “It’s close to freeways, close to shopping. Transportation is good – there are a lot of bus stops right there.” There are also two local schools within the neighborhood: George Brown Elementary and Arrowview Middle School. The high school is just a few blocks away, so kids who grow up in Arrowview might never need to take the bus.

Shotgun-style homes in Arrowview
Clusters of single-story bungalows and shotgun houses line Arrowview’s residential streets. Many were built in the 1940s and ’50s, but there are also some older structures in this area. Lots measure just under a quarter acre on average, with enough space for pockets of lawn in the front and back. Though many houses come with attached garages and driveways, cars are usually parked along the street. That can make the area harder for pedestrians to navigate. Fortunately, paved sidewalks border most of the roads. Buyers can expect to spend about $400,000 to $500,000 for a home in Arrowview.
