One of the popular local haunts in Delman is Spirit of Texas Craft BBQ, with its brisket and relaxed, country-style atmosphere. It’s right down the street from Spike's Bakery, known for its pan dulce. Delman contains a corner store or two, but for grocery shopping, folks head just outside the neighborhood to Stater Bros. Markets or to family-owned La Noria Market.

Delmann Heights Park is the neighborhood's central outdoor gathering place where neighbors can walk the dog or bring the kids to the playground. “San Bernardino is an hour from the mountains, beach, desert and skiing,” Kraus says. “But many find that once they’re here, there’s a lot to do.” Every once and a while, residents may hear rumbling engines from nearby Glen Helen Raceway when crowds gather at the motocross track. Delmann Heights Community Center hosts activities such as scrapbooking and kids cooking classes. Historic Route 66 crosses through Delman, and Rendezvous is an annual family-friendly car show honoring that iconic American road. It takes place downtown in October. Finally, communities gather at nearby houses of worship, such as Dar Al Uloom Al Islamiya of America and Iglesia Apostolica Fuente De Amor.
