Basking Ridge is a sunny suburb in the outskirts of South San Jose
Suburban streets sit in the shadow of emerald-green hillsides in Basking Ridge. The neighborhood is in the furthest reaches of southeast San Jose, where the outskirts of the city give way to rural roads and farmland. Community parks, outdoor adventures and well-rated local schools are major perks for residents. And while it feels far removed from busy, urban districts, its proximity to U.S. Route 101 means it’s less than a 20-minute drive from downtown. “It’s right next to the freeway. It’s close to some nice trails. It’s a friendly little neighborhood,” says Realtor Elena Johal of Tenacity Real Estate, who has more than 30 years of experience working in the Bay Area.
From cozy townhomes to large single-family houses, Basking Ridge offers a range of housing options for every need.
With tree-lined streets and well-maintained properties, Basking Ridge is a highly sought-after neighborhood.

Ledesma Elementary offers a variety of arts programming in addition to academics, including both visual and performing arts classes in every grade level. The last four years are spent at B-plus-rated Oak Grove High School.
