The next steps are Morrill Middle School and Independence High School, both of which get A-minus ratings. It’s also known for its award-winning performing arts programming, from band and orchestra ensembles to theatre classes that put on well-attended spring and fall productions.

For everything else, it’s about 2 miles to Great Mall, an upscale indoor mall with a movie theatre and a wide range of apparel shops.
