The neighborhood is part of the Evergreen Elementary and East Side Union High school districts. Most students attend the highly rated Evergreen Elementary School, which is inside the neighborhood, and kids can walk or bike to school. The neighborhood is also close to Chaboya Middle School and Evergreen Valley High School, but students are more likely to drive or take the bus there. College students are next door to Evergreen Valley College, a two-year public institution.

"It's nice being up against the hills where there's a lot of greenery, trails and open space that people take advantage of," says Rebecca Jepsen of Golden Gate Sotheby's International Realty. Falls Creek Park is a favorite for calm morning walks or a day at the playground. Fowler Creek Park offers shaded picnic areas, bocce ball and tennis courts, playgrounds and scenic views of the foothills. Hike through natural grasslands at Montgomery Hill Park or tee off at the private Silver Creek Valley Country Club.
