North San Jose

Silicon Valley has never felt more at hand than it does from the cozy communities of North San Jose. “You can’t really get more in the middle of Silicon Valley than this,” says local property manager Douglas Jones. “It’s dense surroundings because it’s a very popular place. It’s close to lots of tech companies, places to shop, places to eat, and it’s even close to Shoreline. It literally checks all the boxes.”

Numerous communities of townhomes, mobile homes and subdivisions create the makeup of North San Jose’s residential identity. Renaissance Drive wraps around a small community of single-family homes sporting Mediterranean-inspired designs with open layouts and compact plots, ranging in price from $1.5 million to $2 million. Numerous properties offering condominiums, townhouses and apartment rentals provide convenience and modern living to this section of town. Most condo and townhome options range from $700,000 to $1.5 million. North San Jose also contains several mobile home properties, including Westwinds, the largest mobile home community in San Jose. Mobile homes provide accessible options for settling in Silicon Valley, ranging from $200,000 to $350,000.

Situated between the Guadalupe River and Coyote Creek, North San Jose keeps you close to the green side of Silicon Valley. The banks of both rivers hold trails that stretch across the entire region and into local parks like the Ulistac Natural Area and Riverview Park. Follow the water upstream and reach Alviso Marina County Park. This expansive waterfront area offers numerous chances for scenic hiking and is one of the most popular bird-watching destinations on the West Coast. Cheer on the home team at Levi’s Stadium, home of the 49ers and the location of major events like the Super Bowl, WrestleMania and some of the biggest musical artists in the world, all within walking distance of Westwinds or Renaissance.

North San Jose’s central place in town puts these communities between some of San Jose’s most extensive shopping and dining destinations. Hook up with McCarthy Boulevard and make your way to McCarthy Ranch Marketplace, the land of big-name department stores and casual dining mainstays from national brands and local culinary voices. Milpitas Square gives the neighborhood a huge list of local restaurants and diverse flavors to choose from close to home. Become one of the regulars at Pepper Lunch, a local favorite for its takes on Japanese classics served on piping hot sizzling plates for ultimate freshness. Or if you need to satisfy a sweet tooth, head to Sugar Mama Desserts for its unique ice cream flavors like Black Sesame Brittle and Caramel Passionfruit.

North San Jose students get the ball rolling on education at George Maybe Elementary School, which holds an A- grade from Niche. Don Callejon Middle School then welcomes the neighborhood, and Niche gives it the same overall grade while ranking it in the top 15% of all public middle schools in California. Adrian Wilcox High School is the final stop before higher education. Niche gives Wilcox High an A+ while ranking it in the top 5% of all public high schools in America.

Center yourself with a home in North San Jose and put the immense cultural offerings of Silicon Valley at your fingertips.
