Several shopping centers surround Silverland. At Evergreen Plaza, Pekoe Tea Bar is open daily until midnight, serving boba in its sleek, modern lounge. Pekoe is next to Lucky grocery store and Yuri Japanese Restaurant. Also nearby are a Super India market and Coconut Hill Indian Grocery. On the other side of Silverland lies Evergreen Village Square. Low-risk area for earthquakes
The Bay Area is known for its many fault lines, particularly the San Andreas Fault, which lies west of San Jose. However, the Silver Creek fault line runs through eastern San Jose, a few blocks from Silverland. “Earthquakes are certainly not a daily concern; I’ve just felt a handful and I’ve lived here 20 years,” Elliott says. Residents are more likely to be affected by the regional year-round particle pollution and occasional wildfire smoke.
