Vertu Farm, an urban farm based in Avondale, grows organic produce. It operates a neighborhood farm stand and also sells at the Forsyth Farmers Market on Saturdays in Historic Savannah.

How school choice works for Savannah’s public schools
The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System serves Avondale. The district offers school choice through magnet and specialty programs, as well as open enrollment at select schools and in-district, capacity-dependent transfers.
