U.S. Interstate Highway 16 runs through the neighborhood's south side and connects downtown Savannah to downtown Macon. U.S. Route 17 is also close by. It runs south to north from the St. Marys River in Florida to the Savannah River in South Carolina. The public Chatham Area Transit bus system serves this neighborhood. Bus stops can be found along Carroll Street, Carver Street, Lynah Street, Crosby Street, Stiles Avenue, W. Gwinnett Street and Louisville Road. Air travel is also within reach. The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is just over 10 miles northwest of town.Most shopping and dining options sit just outside the neighborhood
Several local shops and eateries dot the streets. One popular spot for groceries is the Giant Discount Food Mart, where residents can pick up their daily necessities. Another local favorite, The Coffee Fox Roasting Co., is less than a half mile away. It is known for its freshly roasted coffee beans. For additional shopping needs, residents will need to travel outside the neighborhood. Popular retailers like Whole Foods, Kroger, Target and Home Depot can be found at Victory Square shopping mall, about 5 miles to the east.
