Quiet and safe community with access to downtown Savannah
Southwest Chatham is an east Georgia community close enough to downtown Savannah that residents can easily enjoy all it offers but has an entirely different feeling than the city: quiet, safe (it enjoys a three on the CAP Index) and idyllically suburban. Residents can choose from newly built homes in large subdivisions or houses with a slightly more rural feel, older and sitting far apart on sprawling green lawns. It's common to see neighbors out on walks and kids riding their bikes. "I think people are drawn to how family-oriented it is. You really get that community feeling," says LaChandra Bodison, a Realtor with Scott Realty Professionals who has lived in the area for over 10 years. "People remember you at the grocery store, you know? I have three boys, and the employees ask me how they are. There's a really good feeling here. You get that sweetness of being in the South."
The Southwest Chatham area is adjacent to a busy retail and travel corridor.
