Sebring is a village with small-town charm and a 55-plus community
Incorporated in 1899, Sebring was named after the Sebring family, who sought to create a pottery town with their ceramics factories. The height of this industry enabled 3,300 employees to work in the area and earned Sebring the nickname “Pottery Capital of the World.” The pottery has since declined, but the village’s small-town atmosphere remains. Sebring offers Main Street-style retail, locally owned businesses and community events. The area’s population of approximately 4,100 includes many retirees, who live in the Copeland Oaks 55-plus community.
