From seven-layer birthday cakes to PB&J sandwiches stuffed with banana slices to coconut custard danishes, Piece-A-Cake is known for its baked goods and takeaway lunch items. For a sit-down dinner, Canlon's serves up homestyle American-Italian fusion, including the famous “Papa Tony” fried veal cutlet sandwich. The Station Island Mall is a three-mile drive from anywhere in Oakwood, offering big-box brands so residents can avoid venturing into the city.
