Tahoe Vista, a lakeside community
Tahoe Vista, located on the northern shores of Lake Tahoe, is dotted with beaches and parks, lodges and kitschy small businesses and restaurants. Most residents live in log cabin homes. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the unparalleled access to the lake is a major draw for homebuyers to settle in and call Tahoe Vista home. It's also very close to major ski resorts.
Condos and lakefront single-family homes
Home prices in Tahoe Vista begin around $300,000 for a studio condominium and can reach $8.5 million for a three-bedroom lakefront home. Speaking of lakefront houses, they are well sought after in the community. In most cases, residents who score a lakefront property live steps away from the beach, making their backyard Lake Tahoe. While more inland log cabin houses are extremely popular among Tahoe Vista residents. The neighborhood also has newer contemporary-style mountain estates and newly built condominium developments. Driving along the neighborhood streets, this lakeside community feels like a dense forest. More inland, the steep roadways are flanked on either side with thick tree lines, but even along the beaches, there are plenty of tall pine trees.
