The Signal Creek Community Pool is open from May through September and hosts the Signal Creek Piranhas kids swim team. Walkers and bikers can access the 3-mile Signal Ditch Trail from 135th Place. The paved path spans north to Fallbrook Park and southwest to Hunters Glen Lake Park, which is a popular spot for walking, kayaking and fishing. The public Thorncreek Golf Course is also nearby, complete with 18 verdant fairways and a driving range. Eastlake Shores Park and Nature preserve are just south of Signal Creek, with tennis courts, a playground and a 2-mile loop trail. Tarver Elementary School lies on the east side of Signal Creek and earns a B grade from Niche. “You have highly ranked public schools on this side of town, which draws in a lot of families with young kids,” says Hernandez. Century Middle School receives a B-minus and has around 30 extracurricular offerings, including clubs centered around hiking, fashion and aviation. The A-minus-rated Horizon High School is a short drive east and offers three career and technical education programs, including Business and Marketing, Family and Consumer Sciences and Computer and Digital Technologies. The high school also has over 40 school and student-sponsored clubs.Easy Access to Interstate 25
Interstate 25 is around 2 miles west of Signal Creek and can take drivers about 18 miles south to Downtown Denver or roughly 50 miles north to Fort Collins. Colorado Boulevard is lined with nearby bus stops operated by the Regional Transportation District.Denver Premium Outlets and local eateries
Some of the most popular shopping spots in Thornton are within a few minutes of Signal Creek, including the Denver Premium Outlets. The outlet mall has around 80 shops and eateries, from sporting goods and jewelry to a sushi restaurant. Renegade Burrito is a local chain serving Mexican cuisine ranging from street tacos to breakfast burritos. Also nearby, the Allegro Coffee Company serves baked goods, tea and espresso in a laid-back atmosphere. The Thorncreek Crossing shopping center is a short drive south and, along with a selection of chain restaurants, is home to Target and World Market. For groceries, shoppers can visit Walmart or Sprouts Farmers Market.
