Washington Square shopping
Crossing Greenberg Road takes folks to Washington Square, a premiere shopping mall home to the biggest Nordstroms, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Macy’s in Oregon. “The mall is a huge draw to the area,” says Ty Lankheet, a local real estate agent with Premiere Property Group LLC. “People are close to tons of amenities and lots of restaurant options.” Along with its expansive department stores, the mall also features over 100 shops and restaurants. The Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill offers an eclectic selection of pub bites, with popular menu items including the spicy fried chicken sliders and the Szechuan orange chicken. “Margharita Factory is a new one that just opened,” Lankheet says. “It’s become pretty popular and has a nice atmosphere for indoor and outdoor dining. It’s a good area for new restaurants due to the shopping traffic.” For everyday sopping needs, residents are just a mile from the closest Costco, Fred Meyer, Walmart and WinCo Foods.
