Augusta Pines offers golf and custom homes
Folks find Augusta Pines to be an affordable, master-planned middle ground between The Woodlands and Houston. “Similar to Auburn Lakes next door, you get people looking in The Woodlands area seeking custom homes on bigger lots,” says Sarah Gongora, a local of neighboring Auburn Lakes and broker associate with CB&A Realtors. “Augusta Pines offers that with a lower price tag than The Woodlands. It’s also very well known for its golf course.” Though the neighborhood is not strictly a golf community, Augusta Pines Golf Club remains a popular draw for locals who want to walk a couple of blocks to make their tee times.
Large lots and single-family homes built in the 2000s
The community is filled with single-family homes ranging from $320,000 to $1.2 million, varying by square footage and lot size. There are mostly custom homes from a range of new millennium styles, including New Traditional, American Craftsman, and some French Provincial-inspired mansions. Lots here are larger than average, and some front lawns feature drainage ditches for excessive rainfall. “The drainage ditches are just a natural amenity for some homes,” says Gongora. “We haven't really experienced flooding around this area.”
Augusta Pines features properties with prices staring near $300k.
