Augusta Pines
Large lots and single-family homes built in the 2000s
The community is filled with single-family homes ranging from $320,000 to $1.2 million, varying by square footage and lot size. There are mostly custom homes from a range of new millennium styles, including New Traditional, American Craftsman, and some French Provincial-inspired mansions. Lots here are larger than average, and some front lawns feature drainage ditches for excessive rainfall. “The drainage ditches are just a natural amenity for some homes,” says Gongora. “We haven't really experienced flooding around this area.”Semi-private Augusta Pines Golf Club at home, and Spring Creek Nature Trail for hiking
At the center of the neighborhood is the Augusta Pines Golf Club, a semi-private course with 18 holes, a 100,000-square-foot clubhouse and the Augusta Grill & Bar. Further north is the 14-mile Spring Creek Nature Trail, built mostly by community volunteers. It’s a popular area for locals to hike, birdwatch or ride bikes along the forested natural-surface path.Locals can dine at Augusta Grill or shop at Grand Parkway Marketplace
Less than a mile west is the business-heavy Kuykendahl Road, hosting a Kroger Marketplace and Aldi for groceries and diners like Craft Grill for craft beers, brunch, or surf-and-turf entrees. Though Augusta Pines Golf Club offers a private membership, anyone can come to dine at Augusta Grill & Bar, with extensive menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, from omelets to club sandwiches and seafood. It’s a popular spot for locals to dine, drink and chat after a long day on the fairways. Grand Parkway Marketplace is a new shopping district at the intersection of Texas state Highway 99 and Kuykendahl Road. The center features a Home Depot, T.J. Maxx and Burlington, as well as several fast-casual chain eateries.College Career and Military Readiness at Klein Oak High
