"It's a beautiful small-town community with access to the outdoors, regardless of your sport. If you're not into cross-country skiing, we have plowed trails in the winter," says Stephanie Fillinger, referencing the Truckee area. Fillinger is a broker at Engel & Volkers who has lived in the area for over 30 years. "If you want big culture, you can get to Sacramento and San Francisco. You can be at the ocean in half a day. It's versatile, and it's always sunny even though we get a ton of snow."
