The San Francisco Bay Ferry also makes daily trips to Downtown San Francisco and Mare Island. "We have a ferry system that commuters can take. It's about a 45 or 50-minute trip to San Francisco," Messina says. "People park at the ferry building and commute to the financial district, where they can walk to work."

Supermarkets, local diners and upscale bars
There are accessible shopping and dining areas along Springs Road. The Solano 80 Shopping Center has a Cardenas Market with Mexican products about a mile west. Safeway is also nearby on Lincoln Road.
