Right in Mountain View Acres, the local Hangar 18 Indoor Climbing Gym offers more than 7,000 square feet of air-conditioned climbing terrain. Interstate 15 runs east along Mountain View Acres, leading 9 miles northwest to Adelanto, about 37 acres south to San Bernardino, and 81 miles southwest to Los Angeles (with several interstate connections along the way). Victor Valley Transit Buses run along El Evado Road, leading or connecting to destinations throughout the Victor Valley. Desert Valley Hospital is 9 miles southeast, and San Bernardino International Airport is 40 miles south.In 2028, a high-speed railway called Brightline West will make its debut in the area, ultimately traveling between Las Vegas, the High Desert, and the Inland Empire. Las Vegas is about 190 miles northeast via Interstate 15, and normally a three-hour trip, but this train will cut that travel time to two hours. The closest Brightline West station will be in Apple Valley, about 11 miles west, and a station in Rancho Cucamonga, about 41 miles south, will provide a connection to the Metrolink commuter train.
Near Victorville’s culinary corridor
The closest shopping and dining are found along Palmdale Road, the neighborhood's northern border. Here there's a CVS and a Cardenas Markets grocery store, and local eateries that include Raul's Tequila & Kitchen and Yellow Basket Burgers. Three miles south at The Mall of Victor Valley, department stores include Kohl's and Macy's, and big-box retail includes Lowe's and a Walmart Supercenter. The mall also has a handful of eateries, including sit-down sushi spot Kobe Japanese, and the Cinemark Victorville 16 movie theater. Grocery stores near the mall include Stater Bros. and Vallarta.
