Secluded neighborhood near Little Neck Creek
The winding, narrow residential roads of Linkhorn make it clear that this is not an area designed for through traffic. Instead, with large estates set back on sprawling, wooded lots surrounded by mature trees and lush landscaping, this neighborhood offers an exceptional amount of privacy and seclusion. Large colonials, Cape Cods and ranch homes are perched on lushly landscaped lots that range between a half-acre to an acre. Many of these properties are on the Little Neck Creek waterfront, with private access for boating and fishing. In Linkhorn, you can get a three-bedroom, three-bathroom brick ranch home for around $850,000 or a five-bedroom, five-bathroom custom-built estate for around $2 million. “We’re seeing some longer market times in this area,” says Heather Platz, Realtor with The Real Estate Group. “It depends on the property, of course, but we’re starting to get back to the way it used to be, where it wasn’t unusual for a house to sit on the market for a few months. However, inventory is still super low.”
